Hamam Cappadocia: Traditional Turkish Bath Experience
A sunrise balloon flight is only the start of a stay in Cappadocia. The rest of your days can go to full-day guided tours of the valleys and historic sites, outdoor activities in the late afternoon and evenings of Turkish culture.
This page brings together all nine tours and activities we offer, grouped into three categories: day tours, outdoor activities and cultural experiences. Compare them below, then open the tour you like to check dates and book online.
The table shows the main difference between the tours, how long they take and when they run.
The Red Tour and the Green Tour are full-day guided tours with lunch, entrance fees and hotel pickup included. The Red Tour stays in North Cappadocia, with the fairy chimneys of Paşabağ, Uçhisar Castle and the Rose and Red Valley. The Green Tour heads south to Derinkuyu Underground City and Ihlara Valley. See Cappadocia Day Tours for a full comparison.
Horseback riding, the ATV tour, the jeep safari and the camel ride all take you through the valleys around Göreme, and most of them end with the sunset. Choose a horse or a camel for a slower ride, an ATV if you want to drive yourself, or a jeep if you would rather sit back and enjoy the views. Compare them on Cappadocia Outdoor Activities.
For your evenings, the Turkish Night combines dinner with live music and dance, while the Whirling Dervish Ceremony is a calm, spiritual performance. The traditional hamam is a relaxing way to end a long day of sightseeing. See Cappadocia Cultural Experiences for details.
Balloon flights take place at sunrise, the outdoor activities run in the afternoon or at sunset, and the shows are in the evening. This makes it easy to combine them over two or three days. A simple plan looks like this:
Book your balloon flight for your first morning, so there is time to reschedule if the weather changes. Check the start time on each tour page when you book.
Most of our tours and activities include pickup from hotels in Ürgüp, Göreme, Uçhisar, Ortahisar, Mustafapaşa, Avanos, Çavuşin, İbrahimpaşa, Derinkuyu, Kaymaklı, Özkonak and Nevşehir. The hamam experience does not include transfers. Each tour page lists exactly what is included.
Current prices are shown on each tour card and tour page. When you book online, you pay a 20% deposit and the rest at the start of your tour. Date and time changes are free, subject to availability, and you receive a full refund if you cancel more than 48 hours before the start. Read How Booking Works and our Cancellation & Refund Policy for the details.
It depends on what you want to see. For the classic sights, the Red Tour covers North Cappadocia and the Green Tour goes south to Derinkuyu Underground City and Ihlara Valley. For an outdoor experience, choose a sunset horseback ride, an ATV tour, a jeep safari or a camel ride. For an evening of culture, choose the Turkish Night or the Whirling Dervish Ceremony.
Two days are enough for a balloon flight, one full-day tour and a sunset activity. With three days, you can also do both the Red and Green tours and add an evening show.
The Red Tour and the Green Tour include an open buffet lunch with vegetarian and vegan options. The Turkish Night includes a traditional dinner with unlimited soft drinks, dessert and tea or coffee. The horseback ride includes refreshments at the ranch.
The horseback ride and the jeep safari end with the sunset, the ATV tour has a sunset session at 15:30, and the camel ride has a sunset option at an extra price.
The Red Tour, the Green Tour and the Jeep Safari include a licensed English-speaking guide. The horseback ride, the ATV tour and the camel ride are led by activity guides, and the Whirling Dervish Ceremony includes an explanation by a guide before it starts.
Wear comfortable, closed shoes and bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for the day tours. Take a light jacket for the sunset activities and evenings, which can be cool. For the Whirling Dervish Ceremony, modest clothing is recommended.
